Food Truck various locations 7015 83 St NW, Edmonton, AB
Being a food truck, they are dynamic in location. I often see it outside the Stollery Hospital on the 112th doors while I’m at work, or at the Farmer’s Market. This may sound unusual, but I actually ate quite a bit of Chicken Pot Pies growing up. My mom used to make it for me and my siblings. We ate it once at a family friend’s house, and it quickly became a favourite. My mom, being the pleasing type, asked for the recipe for the crust and filling. Soon it became a staple in my Asian household.
I went to check out the new location for the Farmer’s market downtown on 97th street and opted to get some Meat Street Pies as my food of choice. I went with the Shepherd’s pie and the chicken pot pie.
The Shepherd’s pie was filling and delicious. It had a nice flavour and was pipping hot. I really liked the texture of the mashed potatoes. Creamy and delicious.
The winner for me by far was the Chicken Pot pie. The crust was flakey and delicious. This was a definitely comfort food for me and reminded me of the pies that my mom used to make. I would say they are sizeable and cheap as well for the price! If I encounter them again, it’ll definitely be on the top of my list of food to get.
Meat Street Pies are a great product. Quality made. Have you had their Cornish Pasty? I tried it a few weeks ago. SO good!
Thanks for trying these ones. Maybe I’ll venture out of my usual choice.
