Updated post below

A blog post may not be necessary for Duchess since it is so renowned… To be completely honest, I thought had already written one. I’ve been here numerous of times, but thinking that I’ve already written a post, have been neglecting taking photos. I will add more to this post as I buy/eat more goodies!

It’s located right on 124th street, so there is parking immediately in front. It is a bit full at times, but a block north there is some side street parking which I often am able to snag a spot.

Crosisant Sandwich

For lunch, I decided to get their croissant sandwich. for $8, it was really reasonable! The croissant was nice and fluffy and overall, really enjoyable to eat. Stand alone, it doesn’t quite fill you up, but that is why I supplemented with a macaron cake!

The macaron cake was really good as well! If you’ve heard of Duchess, you’ll know that their macarons are one of the things that people often get when they come. They have 6 standard flavours and additional seasonal flavours as well! Really good and soft. The cake was also quite good, with a passion fruit interior that was nice and tart and cut away at the sweetness.

Always have a really good time when I go to duchess! I think I’ve had almost everything from there at least once by now! If you’re a chocolate-lover, I’d definitely recommend the Duke. Soo chocolatey and rich! It gets really busy at times so I’d recommend try going not during peak hours if possible!

One of my fave things to get is their croissant sandwich! This occasion was pastrami, Swiss cheese, pickles, and honey dijon. The croissant was so flakey and delicious!

Grapefruit lavender lemon tart. This tart was really delicious! Great flavours that worked together and simply beautiful.

Macarons! Probably the one treat that they are most famous for! They usually have 6 flavours that are always on rotation have have 3 other seasonal ones. The one shown here is their Haskap Macaron which was really good.

Seasonal treats from duchess! They were doing several hazelnut dishes. I got their seasonal tart and cake.

The cake is called their modern opera cake – Valrhona chocolate ganache, coffee soaked almond sponge, praline mousseline, and salted chocolate mousse.

The tart is their tarte Montreal – Milk chocolate maple ganache infused with bourbon topped with spiced caramel cream with a touch of apricot gel.

I also got a meringue, which was a a chocolate meringue. Crumbly but with a nice and soft chew at the end.
