One of my favourite brunches in Toronto would have to be the one at Emma’s Country Kitchen. It’s a little bit out of the way to get to, so we went the morning before heading to Canada’s wonderland since we had a car rental.

For breakfast, we decided to get the same thing, since it seemed like this was everybody’s go-to at the restaurant. The Emma’s benny. This was also featured on You Gotta Eat Here! It comes with warm and fluffy buttermilk biscuit, topped with a house cured peameal bacon, soft poached eggs, and smothered in a mousseline sauce. This is served with a side of red skin potatoes, an orange slice, and strawberry.
The peameal bacon was amazing. It was nice and thick, and went well with the buttermilk biscuit and savoury egg-yolk. Amazing, and for a great price. In addition to the delicious breakfast they serve, they also have great pastries which are baked daily, with different varieties everyday.
Overall, a very good breakfast. And the vibe is great. It’s very homey and the decor is of a small diner. The service was really good and definitely a breakfast joint I’d recommend.
