88 Harbord St, Toronto
When looking up places to eat in Toronto, I stumbled upon Piano Piano. Freshly made pasta, delicious Italian fare, a cool vibe, and great reviews swayed me in this direction. I planned my whole trip around places to eat, and having them on Open Table definitely made things easier. I recommend trying to make reservations on Open Table a few days in advanced because things fill up quickly.

We went with some Calamari Fritti to start. Lightly breaded pieces of squid, topped with lemon, chili, and parlsey. Delicious! Calamari is always one of my go-to appetizers, and it did not disappoint here. Perfectly cooked and tender.
For food, we went with a couple of their pastas. The ravioli Con Bolognese and the Canestri Alla Vodka.

The Ravioli Con Bolognese comes with ricotta cheese, pork, beef, and topped with parmigiano. I really liked the chew from the pasta. It was nice and firm. All of the flavours worked well together.

The Canestri Alla Vodka comes with Tomato, chili, Mascarpone, Parmigiano and Spicy Pork ‘Nudja. Probably my favourite of the two pastas. I liked the spice in this dish. Again, the pasta itself was cooked perfectly and was nice and firm and had great mouth feel.
Eating all day in Toronto and planning your next meals makes you portion control when you go out, so you can always be ready to eat more. It’s something that I’ve had to learn how to do whenever I go on trips so that I can maximize the amount of things to eat. I would have liked to try a few more dishes here. Their pizzas looked good, and their mains. Maybe next time!
