Hungry Birds is located just off Calgary trail and 42nd avenue. We’ve been here a few times when we venture south to pop in and grab a quick bite. It’s in a little strip area and there is loads of parking. They make almost everything in house, from the rotisserie chicken, to pita chips, etc! It is locally owned by Sunny and his wife, who are incredibly friendly. They make grilled wraps that you can customize to your liking, or you can order one of their pre-set wraps.

On this occasion, we had ordered a couple of wraps to try, their Crispy southwest chicken wrap, and the BBQ Ranch Steak wrap. They have tons of toppings to choose from, so next time I would opt to build my own from the variety of toppings that they offer.

The Crispy Southwest wrap comes with their house-made rotisserie chicken, lettuce, onion, mushroom, green pepper, and southwest sauce. I really like how they grill the wrap. The wrap gets a little bit crisp and makes the differential texture really good. We ate it immediately, but these would travel relatively as well!

The BBQ Ranch steak wraps come with slow roasted shredded beef, lettuce, onion, mushroom, green pepper, and BBQ Ranch Sauce. Again, this was also very good! The beef was nice and tender, and the BBQ Ranch sauce gave it a nice tang. Would definitely order again.

We also sampled some of their house made pita chips. These went nicely with the salsa and tzatziki sauce. The chips were very thin and light to eat.

Overall, I enjoyed my experience. It’s a nice small business that would be easy to miss but the food is tasty and a good price. Definitely check them out if you’re in the south!
