For the royal wedding, I was invited to come try a replicate recipe of the cake (along with some other tasty appetizers). It’s an lemon elderflower cake that was just absolutely beautiful!

I’ve never been to The Cheesecake Cafe. This last year, they closed down their location in Edmonton but kept their location out in Spruce Grove. It’s been there for several years and is a staple for many locals! For parking, they are located in a large area with ample amount of parking.

They have a large selection of desserts that you can choose from. The desserts are quite vast and they are made daily so the options change. It reminds me a little bit of Vi’s for Pies or Block 1912 in terms of style and options.

For appetizers, we had several from arancini, hummus, little chicken bites, quiche, sweet potato fries. All were relatively good and what you might expect when you order in terms of standard fried appetizers.

One thing that stood out were their deviled eggs, which were available at Taste of Edmonton 2018! These were delightful little bites!

Overall, I had a good time at the tasting of the cake. The desserts are really where they shine and I could definitely see myself come in for some dessert and tea. I was invited to a media event where the cake was the primary focus, so I can’t comment too much on any food beyond the appetizers. The restaurant was buzzing with locals that seem to have been going here for several years.
