A couple of weeks ago, I went to La Boule for the first time. There’s been a number of new bakeries popping up in Edmonton in the last little while. I just went to FanFan last week, and to Chocorrant a week before that.
It’s located a little bit off Whyte, on the more east end. It has large pane windows that allows for natural light to come in. They sell baguettes, croissants, tarts/cakes, Eclairs, and other fair. On top of this, they also serve coffee to go with these tasty treats. We opted to get a late, an almond croissant, and a cinnamon cruffin.
It was really quiet when I went, so I just really took my time and enjoyed my pastry and drink. It’s a nice place for people watching or catching up with a friend.

The almond croissant was pretty good. I found that the bottom of the pastry was quite dense compared to the top, which was nice and fluffy. The bottom was chewey and not as enjoyable to eat.

The cinnamon cruffin was my favourite of the two. It was light and fluffy. Not too sweet. I’d definitely recommend trying out one of these. I will have to come back and get their other patries a try! I’ve heard really good things about all of their eclairs. Give this place a try!
