Made By Marcus started out in Calgary, originally, making macarons. Overtime, their ice cream gained a lot of popularity. A trip to Calgary wasn’t complete without grabbing some ice cream from either Village Ice Cream or Made By Marcus. When news was spreading that Made By Marcus was opening up a location in Edmonton, there was a lot of excitement that ensued.

The Edmonton Location is on Whyte Avenue, which garners a lot of foot traffic. Parking is limited to the metered parking up and down the avenue, and off the the side streets.

One thing that I really like about Made By Marcus is their unique flavours. They source their dairy locally and often use local ingredients to flavour their ice cream. On this occasion, I opted to get one of their seasonal, the Apricot Almond Tart, and the London Fog. The other ice cream we opted for was the Chinook Bee Pollen & Lavender and double cookies and cream. (One scoop is two flavours and only $5!)

Creamy and delicious! I really liked the Apricot Almond Tart. I thought that the Earl Grey could have been a bit stronger in my London Fog, but that’s just my personal preference, I always want more tea flavour. I also really liked the Chinook Bee Pollen & Lavender which wasn’t too sweet.

Overall, I really liked Made By Marcus, and you can tell that Edmonton does too. The lineups there can be quite long depending on the time of day. I’ve seen some as long as the small alley will hold. Definitely check them out if you haven’t been.
