Zwick’s Pretzels is located on 124th street, with the main entrance facing 107th avenue. They have some angle parking in this little complex, and lots of street parking in the residential which is a quick walk away. The owners started out as a catering company, but their pretzels were often a hit, and they decided to open up a shop that focuses primarily on pretzels.
The McZwick is their namesake, and for $8, it has warm roasted chicken, candied bacon, mozzarella & paprika aioli on a pretzel bun. Amazing flavours! The chicken is tender, the bacon gives a nice sweetness and crunch, and a fluffy pretzel bun is the perfect vessel to deliver everything.
The chorizo sausage for $6 is also a very good deal. An enormous chorizo sausage on a soft pretzel bun, topped with chimichurri and pickled red onion. Really enjoyed this, and such a steal for $6!
They also have dill, Pea & potato salad for $3 which is a really nice accompaniment to their pretzel sandwiches and sausages. Nice amount of dill and great to eat on the side.
This is their Bacon & Egg, which is also a great steal for $6. House-cured back bacon, cheddar, egg, and grilled tomato on a pretzel bun. So so good and affordable. I’ve been guilty of coming here a few times.
More recently, on a food tour, I got a bag of their nubs. Little pretzel bites in a bag! I got the sour cream and onion and the cinnamon sugar. I found that the sour cream and onion was a bit on the salty side for me, but I really enjoyed the cinnamon sugar.
Overall, I really enjoyed Zwick’s. Their options for sandwiches are really good, and everything is a affordable and delicious. If you haven’t been before, definitely give them a try!
