Halley’s Club

 #2710, 8882 170 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5T 3J7

Halley’s Club is the first of its concept in Western Canada. It comes from the same group that own Atlas, Match Pub Eatery, and the Starlight Casinos. It’s a good balance between club, that often showcases live music, with a modern menu. It’s located in WEM by the casino and WEM’s parking can be… really dynamic. It depends on what time you go! Halley’s caters to a broad range of ages and I find that it’s perfect for my age group who don’t quite like the club/dancing scene, but still want a fun and entertaining atmosphere.

I was invited here by Dave Pavelich who organized the event to sample some of the food that it offers.

Crab Stuffed Mushroom Caps

These were really good! The outside were really crispy and the crab mix was nice and seasoned. Overall, pretty good!

Cheese & Charcuterie
The Cheese and Charcuterie was pretty standard. It’s a generous portion for 17 dollars! I love meat and cheese and this is a very balanced and good board for the price.

Wild Mushroom Flatbread
This was also a very fair portion for $12. The crush was nice and crispy and I really liked the garlic aioli.

Baked Brie

The baked brie is served with a cranberry relish. Not bad, but the other appetizers.

Beef Wellington

The beef Wellington is served with rosemary potatoesm jus, veggies, and a dill pickle remoulade. Nicely plated, this was a pretty good entrée. The beef was nice and tender and the pastry was flakey and delicious. $29 is a bit steep but overall I would order this again.

Garlic Shrimp Skillet
The Garlic Shrimp Skillet is more what I would lean towards for an entree choice. Spaghettini, sauteed spinach, and loads of garlic shrimp! Pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and really good!

Chicken Marsala

The chicken marsala was one of my favourite dish! The chicken was nice and tender and it went really well with the sauce. Overall a really good dish and a bit on the healthier side on terms lean protein.

For dessert, we had the chocolate mousse, the new york chesese cake, and the strawberry confetti cake. The cake was my favourite! It wasn’t too sweet and overall really good.

Overall I really enjoyed the food here. The prices here are really reasonable and the food is well executed. There is a good mix of things on the menu so you could definitely come here with a group and share a bunch of items and all be left satisfied. The music can get a little bit loud so it was a bit challenging to hear people if they weren’t directly beside/across from you but overall pretty fun!
